Publication Ethics and Malpractice Statement (PEMS)

The International Journal of Research and Review in Applied Science, Humanities, and Technology (IJRASHT)  (ijrasht.com) is committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics, academic integrity, and scholarly quality. All parties involved in the publication process authors, editors, peer reviewers, and the publisher—must agree upon and adhere to strict ethical behavior.

IJRASHT’s ethical standards are framed in accordance with the guidelines and Code of Conduct established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

  1. Authorship and Contributorship Policies
  • Authorship Criteria: Authorship should be limited strictly to individuals who have made a significant intellectual contribution to the conceptualization, design, execution, or interpretation of the reported study.
  • Consent & Transparency: All co-authors must approve the final version of the manuscript and consent to its submission to IJRASHT.
  • Plagiarism & Originality: Submitted manuscripts must be entirely original work. Plagiarism in any form (including self-plagiarism, text recycling, or copying without proper attribution) is strictly prohibited. Manuscripts are screened using standard similarity check software.
  • Duplicate Submission: Submitting the same manuscript to more than one journal simultaneously constitutes unethical publishing behavior and is unacceptable.
  1. Handling Complaints and Appeals
  • Appeals Against Editorial Decisions: Authors have the right to appeal an editorial rejection. Appeals must be submitted in writing to the Chief Editor with a detailed, point-by-point rebuttal supported by scientific evidence.
  • Ethical Complaints: Complaints regarding alleged misconduct (plagiarism, authorship disputes, or reviewer bias) should be directed to the Managing Editor.
  • Investigation Process: All complaints are thoroughly investigated in a fair, unbiased, and confidential manner following standard COPE flowcharts.
  1. Conflicts of Interest / Competing Interests
  • Transparency: Authors, peer reviewers, and editors must disclose any potential financial, personal, or professional conflicts of interest that could be perceived as influencing the manuscript or its evaluation.
  • Funding Disclosure: All financial support, grants, or institutional funding received for the research work must be explicitly declared in the manuscript.
  1. Data Sharing and Reproducibility
  • Data Availability: IJRASHT encourages authors to share, archive, or link the underlying dataset supporting their research findings.
  • Replicability: Authors should provide detailed methodologies and data references to allow other researchers to replicate the findings where applicable.
  1. Ethical Oversight
  • Human and Animal Rights: Research involving human subjects, medical data, or animals must include explicit confirmation of approval from an institutional ethics committee or institutional review board (IRB).
  • Informed Consent: Written informed consent must be obtained for any research involving human participants.
  1. Intellectual Property & Copyright
  • Open Access & Licensing: IJRASHT is an open-access journal. Published articles are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY 4.0) License, allowing unrestricted use, distribution, and reproduction provided the original work is properly cited.
  • Copyright Ownership: Authors retain the copyright of their published work while granting IJRASHT the right of first publication.
  1. Post-Publication Discussions and Corrections
  • Post-Publication Commentary: Readers and scholars are encouraged to submit constructive comments, letters, or critiques regarding published articles.
  • Errors & Amendments: If significant errors or inaccuracies are identified post-publication, IJRASHT will work with the authors to publish a formal Corrigendum, Addendum, or Erratum. In cases of severe ethical violations or invalid findings, a formal Retraction will be issued following COPE Guidelines.
  1. Duties of Editors and Peer Reviewers
  • Editorial Independence & Fairness: Editors evaluate manuscripts strictly based on scientific merit without regard to the authors' race, gender, religious beliefs, ethnic origin, citizenship, or political philosophy.
  • Confidentiality: Editors and peer reviewers must treat all submitted manuscripts as confidential documents and must not use unpublished research materials for personal advantage.
  • Peer Review Integrity: Reviewers must conduct evaluations objectively and provide clear, constructive feedback supported by evidence.
